Michael J. Murphy's ATLANTIS
Jacob Balcom and Seth Garon join Matt to talk about Michael J. Murphy's Atlantis, a movie we'd discussed reviewing since we watched Death Run/Mutant City a couple years ago,
Murphy had a sprawling, ambitious vision for his antediluvian saga about the great lost civilization of legend...and a few thousand pounds sterling and a rented psych-hospital outbuilding.

The Return of the Curse of That's Cool, That's Trash's Ghost!
We hope all of you out there are staying home and staying safe. We've found that we're doing that easily, but staying SANE in these crazy times is another thing altogether. We decided that a fun alternative to watching the news and scrolling through Twitter endlessly would be to revive the show to help with our isolation stress and cabin fever. Hopefully, some new episodes would be a fun diversion for you, too. We're aiming for an episode a week. Some of the upcoming titles are pictured below. Have a title you always wanted us to do? Want to be a guest on the show? Let us know if in the comments below or on Twitter @that_trash

The G-g-g-ghosts of TCTT Christmas Past
Our latest episode, Ep99 - Night Killer (1990), is not only our last 'regular' episode, but it's also the last Christmas episode. Yep, it's a movie set during Christmas and lest you think we're reaching, a Christmas gift plays a dramatic role in the story, so we're counting.
We've compiled the Christmas episodes we've done over the years here, to make them easy to find for our listeners who might need a diversion from 'family fun' this season. Happy Holidays to you and have a wonderful New Year! Thank you for listening. We have one finale episode left that will be the original TCTT crew* left to go. After that, we'll finish our Attack of the Mushroom People riff and give that away and then close up shop for the foreseeable future. Cheers!

Night Killer (1990)
- John Morgan and Ben McClure return to talk about NIGHT KILLER by "Clyde Anderson" (Claudio Fragasso), an erotic psycho-thriller with some Bruno Mattei slasher inserts added after the fact. Peter Hooten (Orca & the TV pilot for Dr. Strange) gives a fevered performance that is something to behold, but the whole film is a wild ride!

Demon Cop!!!
Matt's joined by regular guest Jacob Balcom and his cousin Seth Garon, who returns to talk about DEMON COP, the Blood Meridian or The Sound and the Fury
of psychotronic auteur films. Demon Cop seems to be the tragic story of
a widower who becomes the host of a demon of retribution & changes
into a beast with the moon to stalk the members of Denver/Aurora Hills
gangs. A virtually impenetrable web of exposition, non-sequitur scenes,
and kaleidoscopic plot that simply must been seen to be believed.

WINGS HAUSER 2019: Wilding (1990)
In the aftermath of the Central Park Jogger case, two L.A. cops (demi-god Wings Hauser & Joey Travolta) clash with disaffected and detached teens of their city who are on a violent rampage. Jack & Lad from the Rogue Riffers join us to discuss this important message film ripped from yesterday's headlines...and more importantly, Wings Hauser.

Thank you, Mr. Miller...
Debuting in Roger Corman films of the '50s, Dick Miller was the jovial every-man character actor for generations of moviegoers.
A personal favorite is 1959's A Bucket of Blood, directed by Corman. It's hilarious and morbid and a perfect jab at the bohemian pretensions of the Beat era. He would often reprise that character, Walter Paisley, in other film and TV appearances: Hollywood Boulevard; The Howling; Twilight Zone: The Movie; Chopping Mall; Shake, Rattle & Rock; Rebel Highway...including his last role, in the as-yet-unreleased movie Hanukkah.
Thanks for all the thrills, chills, and laughs, Mr. Miller.

F.A.R.T.: The Movie
It's been quiet here this summer, huh? We're still high on Wings Hauser month. There are lots of irons in the fire and some great stuff coming down the pike, including a movie riff coming out in 3 parts as a vidcast: Ghosts of Hanley House
In the meantime, Joe and Jason joined Matt and his wife Renee for some homemade chili and an endurance challenge: who will be the last to tap out during the SOV POS F.A.R.T.: The Movie?
"Russell has two passions: watching television and farting! He also loves Heather. Heather HATES farting. The eternal triangle! One day she warns him, 'if they ever allow farting on television, you'll never leave the house!' One evening he goes to sleep in front of the TV, and 'it' happens. Virtually everything on TV is fart-related, from sitcoms and commercials, to newscasts and dramas."

JUNE IS WINGS HAUSER MONTH
We have officially decreed it: June is Wings Hauser month!
Last year, we embarked on a podcrawl of the SUBSPECIES movies. This time around, we're exploring the filmography of Wings, who we were so taken with on our recent GETEVEN: ROAD TO REVENGE episode. We stuck with that movie's early '90s satanic panic theme and watched MIND, BODY & SOUL (1992), starring Ginger Lynn Allen. We'll be sharing the other podcast's episode as they're available.

Shaitani Dracula!
Matt, Robert Hafferman, and Jason Farrell discuss this half-speed Benny Hill Halloween episode from 2006(?!?). We didn't hablo the Hindi, so we were forced to watch closely as the Prince of Darkness' styrofoam-winged minions swooped in on unsuspecting campers from atop off-screen rolling chairs and sporting plastic fangs. This one was...difficult.

GETEVEN (a/k/a Road to Revenge, a/k/a Champagne & Bullets)
A classic lineup of Matt, Kyle, and Joe watched the 1993 action-romance-kung fu-revenge movie GETEVEN, written by, directed by, produced by, starring, songs by, and starring John de Hart. This movie didn't get wide release until some re-shoots were done in 2007 and, man, oh, man, was it worth the wait. You've got Satanic drug dealing judges, leather pants, gratuitous sex scenes, and some bananas original songs. We couldn't shut up about this one. Get it on iTunes or HERE.

PSYCHOTRONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FILM & VIDEO
On the last episode, Matt discussed his much beloved and dog-eared Psychotronic encyclopedias.
(This post was sitting as a draft. I don't know when it was actually
written. I've had the Film book for 20-odd years and the Video one
almost as long. A decomposing jack-o'-lantern leaked its fluids and
stained the video guide. -Matt)

Goodbye, George
We were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of George Romero, the independent auteur director and creator of the modern zombie. His zombie films not only essentially created a new monster, but through that, gave the people of the world an amazing lens with which to look at themselves as individuals, as parts of societies, and, ultimately, as a species. He was a true visionary and a great artist. If you haven't, do yourself a huge favor and watch Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Martin. You will not be disappointed.
