Matt is joined by Gordie Adams and Rolito Galagate to discuss D'Wild Wild Weng, a western comedy adventure starring the 2' 9" martial arts film star of the Philippines Weng Weng.
Mr. Weng and Gordon are sent to the Mexican region of the Philippines to investigate the death of the mayor of Santa Monica, a town that has been taken over by the evil Sebastian and his horde of Mexican stereotypes along with Ku Manchu and his samurai (ninjas).
Yep.

Blood Island (coda)
Matt bids a fond farewell to the Blood Island with this mini-episode that covers the Romero/Ashley films made *after* the Blood Island movies: The Beast of the Yellow Night and The Twilight People and shares his final thoughts on the series, as a whole. Goodbye, cow intestines for gore scenes! Goodbye, gratuitous nudity! Goodbye, papier-mâché and tempera-paint monsters!

THE BLOOD ISLAND SERIES
Here it is. The episode Matt's been chained to for ages. The Blood Island movies were the start of the Philippine-made cheap-o exploitation movie boom that flourished in the '70s. Before the women-in-prison (WIP) movies made by Roger Corman and company with Pam Grier, the first international hits were this drive-in horror schlock.
If you like tropical settings, terrible monsters, H.G. Lewis-style gore, and some gratuitous nudity, you are in for a treat, my friend. Direct Link
Enjoy!

We're back!
Man, oh, man! What a long strange pain-in-the-ass it's been. Apologies for the long absence. After an unplanned break this summer, we were rudely awakened when we tried to publish our triumphant return: turns out the podcast set-up we had was held together by Scotch tape and cat-gut. We had always (kinda shadily) used Dropbox as a host for our shows, but they took that ability away. So, that resulted in getting a "real" account with a reputable host (Libsyn) and figuring out how to do this the proper way. The down side is, if you subscribed to us through iTunes, you'll need to do that again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
You can do that here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/thats-cool-thats-trash/id665775015?mt=2
Please let us know if this turn of events has impacted any other way you find the show. We're definitely still working out the kinks.
For our return, there's another episode that covers a whole series with capsule reviews, a la the Three Fantastic Supermen movies episode. We did our due diligence and watched a couple of movies that came before the series proper to set the table for the meal that will follow. This mini episode also became our guinea pig for the new show feed.

The KILLING of SATAN!
We were joined by our friend Rolito to discuss the 1983 Filipino fantasy/horror film THE KILLING OF SATAN. We had a great time talking about denim and sorcery with him. Get the episode through iTunes or here.
NEXT UP: We'll be discussing the 1989 direct-to-video Australian slasher movie Houseboat Horror with real, live Australian Andrew! It looks like the Waiting for Guffman of horror movies and it stars Alan Dale!
