The Return of the Curse of That's Cool, That's Trash's Ghost!

We hope all of you out there are staying home and staying safe. We've found that we're doing that easily, but staying SANE in these crazy times is another thing altogether. We decided that a fun alternative to watching the news and scrolling through Twitter endlessly would be to revive the show to help with our isolation stress and cabin fever. Hopefully, some new episodes would be a fun diversion for you, too. We're aiming for an episode a week. Some of the upcoming titles are pictured below. Have a title you always wanted us to do? Want to be a guest on the show? Let us know if in the comments below or on Twitter @that_trash

TWIN DRAGON ENCOUNTER (1986)

Matt is joined by Kyle and Adam to discuss the 1986 Canuxploitation martial arts classic TWIN DRAGON ENCOUNTER. Mullets, mustaches, matching vans...SOLD! This movie stars Michael and Martin McNamara, twin kickboxing brothers who produced the film to brand themselves as Canada's answer to Chuck Norris (or the animated version of Rambo).

GETEVEN (a/k/a Road to Revenge, a/k/a Champagne & Bullets)

A classic lineup of Matt, Kyle, and Joe watched the 1993 action-romance-kung fu-revenge movie GETEVEN, written by, directed by, produced by, starring, songs by, and starring John de Hart. This movie didn't get wide release until some re-shoots were done in 2007 and, man, oh, man, was it worth the wait. You've got Satanic drug dealing judges, leather pants, gratuitous sex scenes, and some bananas original songs. We couldn't shut up about this one. Get it on iTunes or HERE.

LUCKY SEVEN...HALLOWEEN in APRIL!

So, if I get a time machine and kill them, I can prevent the Power Rangers from happening?

The subtle, understated use of color in '80s clothing. I don't miss it.
Scott & I discussed the '86 Hong Kong kids' movie LUCKY SEVEN. Think Little Rascals meets Goonies meets Benny Hill or something. I don't know. Download it here.

NEXT UP: We are pushing #halloweenInApril HARD! If you tweet, start promoting this new holiday. There are virtually two Christmases now. Let's have 2 interesting holidays in the year, too! For our part, we'll be bringing the scary with 1981's The Pit. Join us! One of us! One of us!

Michael Weldon Interview from 2008

Weldon is the father of Psychotronicity (I made that up, but it's a word now, right?). His film and video guides were my gateway into the bizarre world of film that this podcast and blog celebrate. Here's an interview he did with Den of Geek way back in 2008. Enjoy!
