"HOUSEBOAT HORROR" WILL MAKE YOU BAR UP!

We talked with Andrew from Australia about the Ozploitation flick Houseboat Horror. Users of iTunes will find the episode in their feed. Other folks can download it from here (right-click and 'save as'). We would like to thank him for his insight into this fascinating document of Australian culture; we learned a lot.

Looks like we at TCTT have finally found an image for our coat-of-arms!
Calm down, Sheila. You've heard of 'Why Cats Paint'? Well, this is from 'Why Paint with Cats?'

Any given prime minister in Australia.

NEXT UP:

We hope you have a loofah, because you're going to need a long hot shower after watching the sleazy movie THE SINFUL DWARF.

Pssssst...you can watch the movie HERE.

The KILLING of SATAN!

We were joined by our friend Rolito to discuss the 1983 Filipino fantasy/horror film THE KILLING OF SATAN. We had a great time talking about denim and sorcery with him. Get the episode through iTunes or here.
"I shoulda had a V8!"

"I'm evil and I'm FABULOUS!!!!"
Filipino Tom Selleck, the Sorcerer Supreme

NEXT UP: We'll be discussing the 1989 direct-to-video Australian slasher movie Houseboat Horror with real, live Australian Andrew! It looks like the Waiting for Guffman of horror movies and it stars Alan Dale!

The Tumor That Should Not Be, Yet Is! - THE MANITOU

The much-belated episode covering THE MANITOU is here! Get it through iTunes or download it from here. We recorded this some time ago and I have been too busy to edit it. It sure feels good to get that medicine man-shaped lump off of my back!
That is a *seriously* ingrown hair!

"Why do people ask me if I'm straight?!?"

"Then, a little Glen Danzig climbs out of her back, dude, it was insane!"

NEXT UP:
We tackle a Filipino fantasy-horror film that I've been wanting to see for years: The Killing of Satan.

From IMDB: A Filipino-made horror-fantasy movie about a man who is chosen by his dead uncle to battle the forces of evil. He fights a being called "The Prince of Magic," who shoots rays from his hands, makes heads spin around and hypnotizes people. He finally faces Satan himself and engages him in a battle of magic.

WE HAVE BEEN REBORN!

Matt and Scott are joined by Matt's super-cool neighbor Justin to discuss THINGS (Canada, 1989). You can get the episode on iTunes or from here (right-click and Save As).
This movie would leave most casual viewers shivering, huddled in a blanket next to an ambulance, drinking tea or cocoa, so it was nice that Justin was not catatonic and was able to show us on the doll where this movie touched him. Mere words cannot describe this one, folks. It's a low-budget film made by horror fans, but beyond that, it's psychoactive psychotronica all the way. Plots are jettisoned, time has no meaning, porn stars deliver the news from another dimension...it must be seen to be believed.
Unfortunately, this movie is not available for free online (unless you really know how to look), but we wholeheartedly agreed this is worth the ticket price...plus, after you've seen it, you can show it to your friends and enjoy their reactions!

"This is Amber Lynn, coming to you live from the this-guy's-mom's-utility-room-in-the-basement studios."
Our hero, sort of...I guess?

This is how my wife found me in the garage after watching this movie.

A still from the interminable pulling-the-guy-up-to-the-bridge scene.

Next up: we have some '70s dreck for you featuring Tony Curtis & Burgess Meredith! It's the infamously bad The Manitou: A psychic's girlfriend finds out that a lump on her back is a growing reincarnation of a 400 year-old demonic Native American spirit.
Sounds fun, right?! Plus, it's from the director of the blaxploitation Exorcist rip-off Abby!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING w/ JACK & JILL

Matt's been weirdly obsessed with seeing this infamously terrible comedy since it was released. He took advantage of the fact that Thanksgiving is in the plot to make someone watch it with him. Scars add character, right? Download the episode through iTunes or here.

Yes, you will be looking at that face for 90 minutes.

Homelessness: If you can't beat the problem, make fun of the victims in your movie

NEXT UP: We watch an infamous Canadian film from 1989 THINGS.

The Inevitable Crossover Event...

The Bookhouse Boys (Matt & friends) came out of retirement to discuss the first book of Jeff VanderMeer's Southern Reach trilogy: Annihilation, with Scott. Download HERE.
Fans of weird fiction and Lovecraftian dread will dig this book that is creepy as all get-out and filled with eldritch horror.
Scott & I approve and agree: This book is most definitely COOL. Get yourself a print copy, e-book, or audio version here.
